What it measures
The full suite of RBI policy rates that together implement the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) corridor — Repo, SDF, MSF and Bank Rate — plus the reserve ratios (CRR, SLR) banks must hold.
How it is calculated
Repo/SDF/MSF form a corridor around the policy repo rate (SDF is the floor, MSF the ceiling, typically ±25bps); CRR and SLR are set as a percentage of a bank's net demand and time liabilities (NDTL), all decided by the RBI's MPC/Central Board.
