What it measures
India's annual Current Account Balance — the net of trade in goods and services, primary income (investment income) and secondary income (remittances) with the rest of the world. A negative figure is a Current Account Deficit (CAD); positive is a surplus (CAS).
How it is calculated
RBI compiles the Current Account as Trade Balance + Net Invisibles (services, income, transfers) from balance-of-payments source data, published fiscal-year-wise (April–March).

Annual, with quarterly provisional releases through the year
Revisions: Provisional annual figure published soon after fiscal year close; revised as quarterly BoP releases through the year are finalized.
