What it measures
A category-wise decomposition of the CPI (Combined) into major sub-groups — food & beverages, fuel & light, core (ex food & fuel) — showing which components drive the headline inflation number.
How it is calculated
Same underlying NSO monthly price collection as headline CPI, re-aggregated by sub-group weight instead of the single blended index. This card is live-fetched on MoSPI's revised 2024 base year (effective Feb 2026); the old 2012-base sub-group weights (Food & Beverages ~45.9%, Fuel & Light ~6.8%, Miscellaneous/Core ~28.3%) no longer apply and should be checked against MoSPI's published 2024-base weighting document.
